What we cut
Everything is cut to order. There is no catalogue of letters: there is your font, your logo, your dimensions.
Any typeface, any height. Company names, event titles, hashtags, room numbers. Cut from your font file, so the shape is exactly yours.
Your logo in volume, cut to its outline. Several colors are assembled piece by piece rather than painted, so the edges stay clean.
Sculpted volumes for events, retail windows and film sets: objects, characters, giant packaging. Cut in sections, assembled, finished.
Floor numbers, booth numbers, directional signage. Light enough to fix without drilling, solid enough to use again next year.
How it is made
Four steps, all of them under our own roof.

Send a vector file (AI, EPS, PDF) and we cut straight from it. No vector? Our studio redraws your logo into a clean cutting file, and you approve a proof before anything is cut.

The shape is cut from expanded polystyrene block: up to 49 in high and 118 in wide in one piece, from 2 to 49 in thick. Flat faces, bevels, rounded edges and full 3D volumes are all possible; a shape too complex for a simple cut is machined instead.

Raw white, painted in any color, or faced with a printed or laminated panel glued to the front. This is what decides how the piece looks and how long it lasts.

Every piece is wrapped and crated to its size. Shipping from Miami is included in the price you see, to any address in the United States — or collect it yourself at the workshop, 5593 NW 72nd Avenue, at no charge.
Finishes
The polystyrene underneath is always the same. What changes is the face you see — and that is what sets the look, the price and the lifespan. Twenty-three face finishes are available.
The cut polystyrene, untouched. The most affordable option, right for a one-night event or a piece seen from a distance.
Any RAL or Pantone color, including fluorescents that react under UV light. We can also match a physical sample you send us.
A printed panel glued to the front: photographs, gradients, full-color artwork. For everything that cannot be painted.
Dibond in brushed silver, gold or mirror finish. The look of a metal sign at a fraction of the weight.
Kraft board, white particle board, preserved moss. Warmer materials, for retail and interior schemes.
Gloss varnish over any finish, painted undersides, and extruded letters that stand proud of their background.
Fixing
Polystyrene is light — a large letter weighs less than the toolbox you would need for a metal one. That changes everything about how it is fixed.
Polystyrene-safe adhesive, one cartridge for about 5 m². We can supply a full-size printed template so every letter lands exactly where it should.
Clear acrylic rods, 5 mm across, in 5 to 20 cm lengths. We fit them in the workshop, so the piece arrives ready to install.
A 15 mm white PVC base keeps the piece upright and protects its bottom edge. Clear acrylic L-brackets, 20 to 80 cm, do the same job almost invisibly.
Ground spikes for grass, sand or soil, and ballast plates up to 50 × 50 cm against the wind. Tell us where it stands and we will advise.
Lead times
These are days in the workshop, before the carrier takes over. You choose the speed when you price the job, and the quote adjusts.
Same-day and next-day are not offered on painted pieces: paint needs time to dry, and we will not ship a piece that is not ready. Carrier transit from Miami comes on top of these days.
Straight answers
A single piece goes up to 49 in high and 118 in wide, in thicknesses from 2 to 49 in. Above that the piece is cut in sections and assembled, and the joints are worked so they do not show — that is how a twenty-foot letter is made.
It helps, and it costs less. If you only have a JPEG or a PNG, our studio redraws it into a cutting file. You approve a proof before anything is cut.
Yes. Give us the RAL or Pantone reference, or send a physical sample and we match it. A matched color is mixed specifically for your job.
For an event, yes — with the right finish and the right ballast. For something permanent outdoors, a faced or painted finish is essential, and we will tell you honestly if polystyrene is the wrong material for what you describe.
Very little, and that is the whole point: the polystyrene weighs about 1.25 lb per cubic foot. A letter the height of a person is usually carried by one person and fixed with adhesive rather than bolts.
