In Manhattan the hard part is rarely the build. It is getting a truck to the door at the hour the venue allows, with a vehicle the street can take. A booth designed for New York is a booth designed around its crates.
New York is as much a retail and showroom city as a convention city. Window installs, showroom fit-outs and pop-ups follow building rules rather than show rules, and they are usually done at night.

New York punishes anything that was not planned. Delivery windows are narrow and enforced, truck sizes are limited by the street, and a booth that arrives in crates too large for the freight lift does not go up at all. This is why we design around the crates rather than the other way round: a structure that breaks down into pieces one person can carry through a service entrance is worth more in Manhattan than one that is slightly quicker to assemble.
